Billie Sparks Campaign Coordinator of Women for EuropeCampaign Coordinator for Women for Europe, Billie Sparks, took part in a debate organised by the Dublin 12 Women's Action Group in the Village Inn pub in Crumlin on Wednesday 16th September.  Kathleen O'Neill, Manager of the Kilbarrick Community Development Project, represented the No side.

The debate was lively and the audience had many interesting questions on the Treaty.  One topic that came up was in relation to whether the Lisbon Treaty will bring in conscription.  Billie confirmed to the crowd that the Lisbon Treaty has NO mention of conscription or a European Army, and that the Treaty fully respects the neutrality of Ireland and the other five neutral countries in the EU.
